**Activities:** IRISi's objects are the relief of need, distress and suffering of individuals in need who have suffered from or are exposed to gender-based violence, through the promotion of research, public education, training and public health initiatives on the causes, effects and prevention of gender- based violence by such means as the trustees shall determine.
