**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO ISTO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE RESIDENT IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF ENFIELD IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:- PROVIDING SUPPORT, ADVICE, INFORMATION AND SERVICES FOR SUCH PEOPLE- ENSURING SERVICES PROVIDED BY OTHERS ARE PROVIDED TO A HIGH STANDARD, ON DEMAND, ARE LOCAL AND ARE WELL STAFFED- ENSURE GOOD, EASY AND SAFE ACCESS TO AND EXIT FROM PUBLIC BUILDINGS- PROVIDING SPECIFIC TRAINING COURSES, E.G. BRAILLE, COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY AND OTHER SKILLS AS IDENTIFIED BY RESEARCH- CONSIDERING THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE IN NEW PUBLIC BUILDINGS, NEIGHBOURHOOD IMPROVEMENT SCHEMES, STREET FURNITURE CHANGES, - CONTRIBUTING TO PUBLIC DEBATE IN ALL AREAS WHERE SIGHT IMPAIRMENT REQUIRES SPECIFIC MEASURES.

**Activities:** We provide:  * monthly drop-in mornings - includes gentle exercises, peer support, assessment for newly registered  blind/partially sighted people (with council social workers), healing exercises.* Annual Christmas Party *Annual Focus Day to provide information, guidance and support on equipment, services providers for visually impaired people Free day trips for visually impaired people
