**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY:A) THE PROVISION OF A PROFESSIONAL COUNSELLING SERVICE FOR CHRISTIAN MINISTERS, ADULT MEMBERS OF THEIR HOUSEHOLD, AND SUCH OTHER BENEFICIARIES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE WHICH PROMOTES AND PROTECT THEIR PHYSICAL, SPIRITUAL AND MENTAL HEALTH; B) THE PROVISION OF TRAINING FOR COUNSELLORS IN TOPICS THAT WILL SUPPORT THE CHURCH LEADERSHIP AND COVER ISSUES THAT MAY ARISE IN A FAITH CONTEXT.

**Activities:** The Churches' Ministerial Counselling Service provides confidential support to ministers (and adults in their immediate households) through short-term, professional counselling in the UK; and counselling for adults in ministry-related roles (and for adults in their households), in organisations that are members of CMCS.  CMCS also offers CPD training for qualified counsellors on related themes.
