Activities
Campaign and support the heritage and conservation, and promote the continuing maritime use, of the canal and its waterside and associated buildings, and encourage its use and enjoyment for wellbeing, sport and leisure.
Objects: (a) For The Benefit Of The Public, To Promote, Facilitate, And Assist In The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Historic Exeter Ship Canal And Basin As A Navigable, Working Waterway, Together With Its Associated Watercourses, Towpaths, Structures, Quays, Buildings, And Structures;(b) To Advance The Education Of The Public In Relation To The History, Heritage, Significance And Use Of The Exeter Ship Canal And Basin, And Its Associated Structures; (c) To Promote The Protection And Conservation Of Objects, Sites And Buildings Of Archaeological, Architectural, Engineering Or Historic Interest On, In The Vicinity Of, Or Otherwise Associated With The Exeter Ship Canal And Basin;(d) To Promote The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment Of The Exeter Ship Canal And Basin And Its Environs; And E) To Promote The Provision Of Facilities In And Around The Exeter Ship Canal And Basin In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disability, Financial Hardship Or Social Circumstances Or For The Public At Large With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life.
