Report Date: 01.04.26 Objectives and activities At JUST.BATHE, we are dedicated lo supporting families enduring the heart-wrenching experience of losing their child in a CriticAI Care Unrt (CCU). As a parent you can find your child as young as fourteen years old (in certain situations) being put on an adult CCU. Whatever the age of the 'child' we aim to supply all these wards throughout the UK with our boxes to be given to parents when they face the end of their child's life. These boxes contain the resources needed to groomlbathe their loved one a final time. These packs are thoughthjlly curated so that parents can create a peaceful and meaningful farewell. fostering a sense of connection and honouring the bond they share. JUST.BATHE was founded by Dr. Steph Alger. a mother who experienced the devastating loss of her 18 year old son in a tragic car acodent. In the midst of her grief, Dr. Alger recognised the profound and instinctive importance of small, rneaningful acts of care during the final moments wwth her child. Unfortunately, the Critical Care Unit struggled to find appropriate resources for this significant experience. JUST.BATHE wants to ensur8 that parents in this position have these much needed resources.

Achievements and perforniance During this financial year 1.07.25 - 1.04.26 JUST.BATHE have delivered a total of 70 boxes to 8 critical care units. Furthermore. approaching grieving parents for feedback would be inappropriate. However we have received some positive feedback from nurses on the wards.

JUST.BATHE RESERVES POLICY 1. Purpose of the Pollcy This policy sets out how JUST.BATHE manages its financial reserves to ensure stability, Sustainability. and the ability to respond to unexpected events wlthout disrupting our charitable activities. 2. Definition of Reserves For the purposes of this policy, reserves are unrestricted funds that are freely available for the charitys general purposes. They exclude: Restricted funds (donations or grants for specrfic purposes) Fixed assets Designated funds set aside for specific projects 3. Taryet Level of Reserves The trustees have agreed to maintain reser¥Yes equivalent to 2 months of core operating costs. This is currently estimated at £2000. This level is considered sufficient to: Cover short-tem cash flow fluctuations Allow time to adjust activtiies in the event of reduced income Meet any legal or contractual obligations in the event of closure 4. Feedback like this identffies the difference that we are undoubledly making to parents whose child is dying as well as providing that dying individual dignity and close contact with their mother, father or grandparent. Furthermore. we know that nurses were buying the resources we provide out of their own money. They have reported to us that they feel more confident that they can provide a fitting service to their patients and loved ones. Arguably society as a whole will benefft as the grieving prO￿sS of a parent may be made just a little bit easier through the pjsitive final act that groominglbathing their child provides. Fundraising plans ahead As a charity that first registered in June 2025 we are building on our fundraising events to be repeated annually. We intend to hold an annual Black tie fundraising party in November 2026 having already booked the venue with an auction and raffle of donated prizes. We also intend to hold an annual ra￿ night in September 2026 and again have the venue booked. We have also held a Bonkers Bingo event in a public house (money due). Furthermore We have a business planning to do a sponsored walk in S8Ptember 2026 with JUST.BATHE as beneficiaries of the sponsorship funds raised. Events are our main source of income so we continue to build on these fixtures.
