## Activities

**Objects:** FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE, WITH A FOCUS IN COMMUNITIES WHICH LITERACY LEVELS ARE LOW, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS IN SCHOOLS AND OTHER LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS TO SUPPORT WITH BASIC LITERACY AND ORACY.

**Activities:** Our 300 plus volunteers spend time, in mainly, primary schools hearing children read twice a week for 10 to 15 minutes at a time.This creates a discussion which in turn improves social and communication skills and builds confidence.This confidence is vital and we help give these children the building blocks of self belief.
