The charity was registered as a charitable incorporated organisation on 9 June 2025. The aims of the charity are listed in the objects below ## **Objects and aims** To preserve and protect the health of persons suffering from Paget's Disease of Bone and their families by: a) providing information and support, b) raising awareness about Paget's Disease of Bone both within the medical and allied health professions, and amongst the general public, c) supporting and funding research projects in the field of Paget's Disease of Bone or its treatment, (d) working and coordinating with other organisations (charitable, voluntary, governmental or otherwise) to support those affected by rare bone disorders; and (e) undertaking any other actions and/or objects in support of persons suffering from Paget's disease or may be at risk of suffering from Paget's disease, their families and carers **.** ## **Achievements and performance** The Paget’s Disease of Bone Association has not undertaken any activities in terms of providing information and support, raising awareness, supporting and funding research; working with other organisations to support those affected by rare bone disorders or supporting persons at risk of suffering from Paget’s disease. This will allow for timely intervention when necessary to lessen these risks. ## **Trustees' declaration** The Trustees declare that: - The Paget’s Disease of Bone Association was registered during the accounting period. - The Paget’s Disease of Bone Association did not commence charitable activities during the period. - No income was received and no expenditure was incurred. - The Paget’s Disease of Bone Association held no assets or liabilities at the balance sheet date. The law applicable to charities requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the Trustees are required to: - select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently; - observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP; - make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; - state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any - material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements; and - prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate - to presume that the charity will continue in business. The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008, and the provisions of the constitution. The Trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. The Trustees are responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the corporate and financial information included on the charitable company's website. Legislation governing the preparation and dissemination of financial statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.
