**For the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of animals in need of care and attention and to provide and maintain rescue homes or other facilities for the reception, care and treatment of such animals and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals.**

In planning our activities for the year, we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings.
The main activities are as follows:
Rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in need, including, but not limited to abandoned, stray and unwanted animals.
All animals are vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and flea and worm treated before they are rehomed. We offer a return to rescue promise if their rehoming is unsuccessful for any reason.
**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**
We will promote and educate the wider public in the care and welfare of animals with the aim of reducing animal suffering. We educate about the importance of neutering, vaccination and microchipping pets.
We run a neuter and chip programme within our local community where we help finance and assist members of the public with this.
We aim to reduce the amount of stray and feral animals living outside by reducing the number of animals being born on the street and preventing the growth of feral communities. We run a TNR (trap, neuter, return) scheme for this.
We aim to reunite with their owners as many lost pets as possible. We scan animals and use social media, vet contacts and word of mouth as well as contact with other rescues to try and reunite pets with their owners.
We work in partnership with other local rescues to promote and enhance animal welfare efforts and provide public benefit through our support of these rescues. We collect and distribute donations including food and bedding to help these other small rescues.
We are grateful for the many hours volunteers spend fundraising and supporting our activities.
Without this valuable contribution of time, energy and expertise we would not have been able to achieve so much.

## **1. Accounting Policies**
The Financial Statements have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis in accordance with the provisions of section 133 of the Charities Act 2011 and the Charitable Incorporated Organisations (General) Regulations 2012.
## **2. Donations**
Included within donations is the sum of £2,340, which was the unspent balance generated by Animal Rescue Volunteers prior to incorporation as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. £2,290 of the donated sum was in the form of bank deposits and £50 in cash.
## **3. Restricted Fund**
purchase of a pen and a trap. This sum is treated in the Financial Statements as a Restricted Sum. Part of the sum was used in January 2026 to purchase a trap, with the balance to be used to purchase a pen, once groundworks have been completed on the site where it is to be placed.
## **3. Trustee Remuneration and Expenses**
No Trustee received any remuneration from the Charity and no Trustees was reimbursed any travelling expenses or any other expenses incurred.
No Trustee had any interest, either direct or indirect, in any transaction or contract entered into by the Charity.
## **4. Employees**
The Charity had no employees during the period and nobody was paid a salary, wage or otherwise remunerated for their activities in relation to the Charity.
## **5. Debts and Guarantees**
The Charity had no debts, either secured or unsecured, outstanding at the Balance Sheet date and no guarantees had been given or were in existence at the Balance Sheet date.
## **6. Gifts in Kind**
During the period, the Charity received a number of gifts in kind in support of its objectives. These included gifts of food, litter and other bedding, toys and the like, together with items that could be sold or ra�led, with the proceeds used to support the Charity.
