The FH Dingle Charity for Aged Poor was set up to provide Living Assistance to those who could demonstrate by completing an application form of that they were employed by Dingles of Plymouth and their income was below the benchmark for Healthy Living.In 2022 the Charity Commission by means of a special resolution agreed the Charity could expand to include all former House of Fraser Stores .

Objects: (1) The Objects Of The CIO Are:(a) To Provide Payment Of Pensions To Poor Persons Who, On Attaining The Age Of 60 Years, Or 45 Years Where Persons Are Incapacitated From Earning Their Living By Reason Of Some Physical Or Mental Infirmity, Are Or Were In The Employment Of E Dingle And Company Limited (Dingles) Or Any Other Company To Which Upon Any Reconstruction Or Amalgamation The Goodwill And Assets Of Dingles Are Transferred; And(b) In Relieving Either Generally Or Individually Aged Persons Resident In The Ecclesiastical Parish Of St. Andrew In The City Of Plymouth Who Are In Conditions Of Need, Hardship Or Distress By Making Grants Of Money Or Providing Or Paying For Items, Services Or Facilities Calculated To Reduce The Need, Hardship Or Distress Of Such Persons (And In Exceptional Cases Persons Otherwise Eligible Who Are Resident Immediately Outside The Said Ecclesiastical Parish But In The Opinion Of The Charity Trustees Ought Nevertheless For Sufficient Reason To Be Treated As If Resident Therein Or Who Are Located For The Time Being Therein).
