Stockport Refugee Support Group holds a weekly drop-in for refugees and asylum seekers in the town to provide support services that assist them to adapt to life in a new community. The group provides a welcoming space where we serve a hot meal, distribute food bags, hold English conversation classes and provide facilities for recreation.

Objects: To Provide Relief To Refugees And Asylum Seekers Living In Stockport By The Provision Of A Drop-In Centre To Provide Support Services So As To Advance Them In Life And Assist Them To Adapt To A New Community, With The Objects Of: - (1) Relieving Them From Financial Hardship And Social Isolation Through The Provision Of Food, A Welcoming Space And Advice. (2) Providing Facilities For Recreation And Events With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life Of Refugees And Asylum Seekers Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Social And Economic Circumstances.
