**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO PROMOTE THE MILITARY EFFICIENCY OF THE ARMED FORCES AND TO FOSTER GOOD CITIZENSHIP FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AT LARGE, IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING A MEMORIAL IN GOSPORT TO COMMEMORATE THOSE WHO TOOK PART IN D-DAY 1944.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.

**Activities:** To commemorate those who took part in D-Day 1944 for the public benefit by providing and maintaining a memorial for the local community in Gosport.
