rr SCUNTHORPE PRIDE Registered Charity No. 1212471 Trustees, Annual Report for the year from 1st October 2024 to 30 September 2025 Objectives and Activities The objects of Scunlhorpe Pride are to promote equality and diversity for the public benefit as well as promoting Ihe elimination of discrimination with regards to sexual orientation and gender identity in Scunlhorpe through: Organising and promoting events throughout the year to celebrate the LGBT+ community and raise awareness of discrimination and other issues affecting the LGBT+ community and the advan￿ment of LGBT+ rights. Organising an annual festival celebrating Ihe LGBT+ community and providing a space for discussion and advancement of LGBT+ rights. Our main activities that go towards these aims are the annual festival of Scunthorpe Pride, weekly social support meetings for members and our fundraising events. In planning our activities for the year, all trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit. Volunteers The charity would like to acknowledge the hard work of all the volunteers who make Scunthorpe Pride happen. Firstly, the truslees who put many voluntary hours into the charity every single week to ensure that Scunthorpe Pride is run every year and that the charity meets its obligations. Secondly lo the wider fundraising team members who voluntsrily support with events throughout the year. Thirdly our social members who often support with new members and visitors. Achievements and Performance Scunthorpe Pride 2025 was a massive success. The event saw the biggest footfall for a local event on record in recent years with over 15,000 people through the gates. Due to the hard work of the trustees and the volunteers, alongside the kind donations of our sponsors, this event was completely free to access for everyone in Scunthorpe for the second year running: This event allowed local LGBTQ+ people and their families and friends to enjoy a day ￿lebrating diversity and individuality. The headline acts for the day were Sonia and Phats and Small and fantastic feedback was received about the day. This year also saw lots of successful fundraising events, of note the banging bingo events and the Dame Ida show evening. It was good fundraising year with £42,142 raised across our fundraising events and Pride itself. We also saw the introduction of the first Pride Prom held at the Wortley as a free to attend event to give back to the community.

Financial Review The Gharity took a very healthy balan￿ of £10,792 to be used towards Pride 2026 running cosls. Some of this was part of the charities aims to become self-sufficient in the future, for example the bar money raised on Pride day 2025. If this surplus money is not needed for Pride 2026 then it will be carried over to subsequent years. The charity has increased its running costs this year. Currently these include printing (approx. £10 per month and storage approx. £166 per month) so in savings the treasurer will try and keep at least £2,000 which will cover 12 months of these minimal costs. There are currently no uncertainties about the charity as a going concern. In 2025 the principal source of funding was a National Lottery Grant for £19,995. Trustees are confident that if the National Lottery funding is not received that they can apply for alternative grants. If the charity was unable to pay for a pride in full, cancellation event in5uran¢e is tsken oul on a cost basis and the event would be postponed until a future year. There is always the option to make Pride a paid ticketed event but this would be an absolute last resort as the main aim of the charity will always be to provide Pride as a free festival for all. If this situation were to arise a special general meeting would be called to discuss this or to consider the alternative of postponing the event until the next year. Structure, Governance and Management Scunlhorpe Pride is governed by their Constitution which was formally adopted on 3rd March 2025. This takes the form of the Charty Commission's model constitution for charitable associations. Any member can nominate any other member to be a trustee. This musl be seconded by another member in order to be confirmed. Trustees will be chosen at the AGM. In the evenl of more volunteers to be trustees than positions there will be a vote involving all members in attendance at the AGM. In the event of a tie the president will have the casting vote.
