The charity's main fundraising activities during the year were a sponsored bike ride from John O'Groats to Land's End in September 2025. This event saw Ethan’s dad Carl and trustee Matt cycle 1000 miles. The event was featured on BBC news where we interviewed outside Birmingham Children’s Hospital at the half way point.

The charity's objective is to support its beneficiaries through fundraising and community activities. During the year, funds were raised through the John O'Groats to Land's End sponsored bike ride and Ethan's Annual Truck Show.

The truck show is a local community event, organised in close partnership with a local business, and provides an opportunity for the wider community to come together in support of the charity. The charity does not currently operate a grant-making programme or undertake programme-related investments.
The charity's activities are supported by volunteers who give their time to help organise and run fundraising events, including the annual truck show and sponsored fundraising activities. The trustees are grateful for the valuable contribution made by all volunteers.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
During the year, the charity successfully organised and completed a sponsored bike ride from John O'Groats to Land's End in September 2025, raising funds and awareness for the charity's objectives.
Ethan's Annual Truck Show was also successfully held in September as a local community event, organised in close partnership with a local business. The event brought together members of the local community and helped raise funds and awareness for the charity.
The charity also hosted a community boxing event in partnership with a local sports club, which raised £500. A further donation of £250 was received in connection with the event, bringing the total raised to £750.
An additional boxing event was put on in aid of our charity which raised £2500.
The trustees are grateful to everyone who took part, volunteered, donated and supported the charity's activities during the year.

Section E Financial review
The charity aims to maintain sufficient unrestricted reserves to Brief statement of the meet its ongoing running costs and to provide a reasonable level of charity’s policy on reserves financial security in the event of unexpected expenditure or a temporary reduction in income. The trustees review the level of reserves regularly and consider the charity's current and future financial commitments when deciding whether reserves are adequate. Due to the charity only having one big annual spend per year the funds are accumulated for this purpose. Funds can be used during the year if the hospital require anything before.

The charity's principal sources of funds during the year were fundraising activities, including the sponsored bike ride from John O'Groats to Land's End, Ethan's Annual Truck Show, and a community boxing event held in partnership with a local sports club. The charity also received individual donations and other community support. Expenditure during the year was focused on supporting the charity's objectives, including the costs associated with organising fundraising and community events. The trustees continue to monitor expenditure carefully to ensure that funds are used appropriately and provide the greatest possible benefit in support of the charity's objectives. The trustees will continue to work closely with local businesses, sports clubs and community groups to develop further fundraising opportunities, increase community involvement and raise awareness of the charity.
The charity will continue to review its activities and explore new opportunities to generate funds and maximise the benefit to those it supports.
