Objects: To Further Such Exclusively Charitable Purposes As The Charity Trustees May In Their Absolute Discretion Think Fit By The Provision Of Grants Or Other Financial Support Which May Include But Are Not Limited To:1 The Prevention Or Relief Of Poverty By Making Donations To Those In Need And/or To Charities, Or Other Organisations Working To Prevent Or Relieve Poverty In County Durham And/or The North Of England (the Region);2 Supporting Those In Need By Reason Of Youth, Age, Ill-Health, Disability, Financial Hardship Or Other Disadvantage In The Region;3 The Advancement Of Sports Or Games In The Region Which Promote Health By Involving Physical Or Mental Skill Or Exertion And Which Are Undertaken On An Amateur Basis. This Includes Supporting The Provision Of Facilities For Participation In Amateur Sport, The Costs Of Training And Equipment And Travel Costs To Facilitate Participation;4 The Advancement Of The Arts In The Region;5 The Advancement Of Citizenship Or Community Development In The Region;6 The Advancement Of Culture And Heritage In The Region;7 The Advancement Of Environmental Protection Or Improvement;8 Donations To Institutions Identified By The Founders, Or Either Of Them, Based Within Or Outside The Region, Which Have Exclusively Charitable Purposes
