**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN RELATION TO THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF TAVISTOCK AND THE SURROUNDING AREA (THE TAVISTOCK DISTRICT).

**Activities:** The charity holds monthly talks and events by expert speakers on local history in and around Tavistock, Devon and publishes a regular newsletter with articles relating to local history.  Monthly talks are held in a rented hall.  All events are open to the public on payment of a subscription or modest fee.
