**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:TO ADVANCE IN LIFE, RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF AND HELP YOUNG UNDERGRADUATE AND POST GRADUATE MUSIC STUDENTS OF CLASSICAL OPERA SINGING AND CLASSICAL MUSIC THROUGHOUT ENGLAND AND WALES THROUGH: A) THE PROVISION OF GRANTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ENABLE THEM TO PURSUE THEIR MUSICAL EDUCATION THROUGH STUDY AT A PROFESSIONAL SPECIALIST ESTABLISHMENT, OR WITH A PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN; B) THE PROVISION OF SUCH OPPORTUNITIES, MENTORING, GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT CONSIDERED NECESSARY AND APPROPRIATE TO PREPARE YOUNG MUSICIANS FOR ENTRY INTO CAREERS AS PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS.C) THE MAKING OF GRANTS/DONATIONS TO SUCH SPECIALIST MUSICAL INSTITUTIONS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE, DESIGNED TO FUND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SCHOLARSHIPS/PRIZES, TRAINING, PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES AND MENTORING INITIATIVES FOR TALENTED YOUNG MUSICIANS.

**Activities:** To advance in life, relieve the needs of and help young undergraduate and post graduate music students of classical opera singing and classical music throughout England and Wales through:a) the provision of grants of financial assistance to enable them to pursue their musical education through study at a professional specialist establishment, or with a known professional musician;
