**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO PROMOTE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, THE CONSERVATION OF THE COMMON SWIFT (APUS APUS) IN NORTH CUMBRIA BY RAISING GENERAL AWARENESS OF THE DECLINING STATUS OF THE SPECIES. WE WILL IDENTIFY, AND STRIVE TO PROTECT, EXISTING NEST SITES AND ENCOURAGE THE PROVISION OF ADDITIONAL NEST SITES ACROSS THE COUNTY.

**Activities:** Penrith Swift Group aims to raise awareness of the decline in swift numbers. We promote the protection of natural nest sites and encourage installation of artificial nest sites for swifts.
