HOPE FELLOWSHIP PARTICULAR BAPTIST CHURCH Trustee's Annual Report 2025 STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCEAND MANAGEMENT Governing Document: The church is governed by its Foundation CIO Con8titution. It IS committed to the historic Christian faith revealed in the Bible and summarised in the Statement of Faith. Trustee Appointment: The pastor and deacon of the church are'ex-officio'trustee8 for as long as they hold office. Other trustees are selected for a f ixed term by the charity trustees and must be non-voting members of the church or of another church which can subscribe to the same statement of faith. The trustees form the membeiship of the CIO. Decision making: There is an advisory council consisting of the non-voting members of the church. This is governed by the Church Handbook and m2kes recommendations to the trustees, including on the appointment and removal of trustees, the buying and selling of property, and the constitution. There were ten non-voting members of the chuych at the end of the period. Management: Between registering and 31" December 2025 the trustees met once and the advisory council met three times. The church is independent and self governing. However we have links with other likeminded churches for mutual support, advice and joint activitles.

To advance any such other charit8ble purposes (according to the law of England and W¥lesl that. in the opinion of tha charity trustees, further the work of Hope Fellowship Particular Baptist Church, as the charity trustees in their absolute discretion see fit f rom time to time. Public Benefit: The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Comtnission's public benefit guidance when planning activities and in exercising their powers 2nd duties and believe they have complied with that guidance. Main Activities: Publicworship Meetings are held every Sunday at 11 am and 6 pm for worship services open to the public and advertised on our church website. There 19 a regular Bible Class in the afternoon for young people. On 8dvertised week evenings there aye meetings for prayer and Bible study. Other Group activities There are regular Youth meetings on a Friday evening, and separate men's and women's bookelLJbs on stated Tu8sdays. We have a fellowship lunch on selectpd Sundays. once a year we run a day CDnfereTrce. and organise a social outing for the whole church. We organise community Carol singing at Christmas. Grants In accordance with the Bible's teaching on Christian giving, the church aims to Complement its direct local activities with financial and prayer support to other individuals and organisations where thetrustees considerthis achievesthe aim of its public benefit. We invite piesentations from such likeminded groups of their work on occasiDnal evenings throughout the year, Food bank We are a collection Point for The Resource food bank based at Christ Church South Ossett.
HOPE FELLOWSHIP PARTICULAR BAPTISTCHURCH Trustee's Annu81 Report 2025 ACHIEVEMENTSAND PERFORMANCE Worship and Ministry: The gospel has been preached to all and the Bible expounded and applied. Attendance rose duringthe period although thttre were no baptisms to report. We have approx. twenty people at Sunday services. Our church conference was attended by over sixty people with meals freely provided. A conference book was produced and distributed. We distributed leaflets in the community with an invttation to carol singing at Christmas. Bibles nd tracts continue to be offered freely from 2 box outside the church. Our website contains information and sermons which mayf reely be used by anyone seeking to understand the Christian faith. We continue to broadcast our Sunday services to those who are housebound or otherwise unable to attend. Church purchase: In May 2025 we purchased and moved into the former Salvation Army Corps in Gawthorpe after previously renting the Darby and Joan Welfare Hall in the village for services. We give thanks to God for this wonderful provision as the money came purely from voluntary offerings from a nLJmbeY of individuals. It is a suitable building with good facilities for flexible use beyond the main purpose of worship. Community Impact: With the purchase of our own church building we have a stronger Christian presence in the area. Dozens of Bibles have been f reely offered and taken by members of the public. We have f in3ncially and prayerfully supported local and national Christian organisations and charities during the year. This included a speaking opportLJnity for the Zitnbabwe Partnership Trust. Volunteer Contrlbutlons: The pagtor is the only employee. All of the other activities are possible thanks to the committed voluntary efforts of the trust2es and members ofthe church.
HOPE FELLOWSHIP PARTICULAR BAPTISTCHURCH Trustee's Annual Report 2025 FINANCIAL REVIEW Financial Performance: The church's chief source of income is voluntary gifts, mainlyfrom the trustees and members of the church. Gilts were received of £55,355.05 including Gift Aid relief in the period. Expenditure amounted to £221,138 mainly due to the purchase ot the church building. However funds brought forward at point of Charity registration were £169,897.17, which left unrestricted funds of £4, 114.22 at 31" December 2025. Grants totalled £4,050 to the organisations listed in the notes to the accounts. Funds Breakdown: The church has its own building, which was puich2sed with restricted funds. Reserves PoliGy: The trustees conside¥ that the minimum reseNes necessary are equivalent to three month's expenditure, which is in the range of £2,500 to £3,000. Payments to trustees: One trust80, Jeremy Roe, is the pastor of the church and its sole employee. He currently receives a salary amotjnting to that as stated on the Statement of Financial Activities. He also jointly Dwns with his wife the Christian Bookshop in Ossett, which supplied books and Bibles for the use of the church amounting to £380 in the period. Formal agreements for both of these expenditures have been signed with the other trustees. They are considorod to be in the best interest of the church, and represent good valucfor money. Risk Statemont: The trustees commit the affairs of the church to the guidance and providence of God. However they are aware that the principal risk to which the charity is potentially exposecl is loss of membership and hence a lowered level of income f rom voluntary giving. This would be mitigatcd by a corresponding reduction in grant making. Prudent stewardship of resources involves giving f inancial updates to the church at every advisory council meeting and setting and monitoring an annual budget. Policies are in place for Safeguarding, Health and S8fety, Data Protection, Food Safety, and Fire Management. A Fire Risk Assessmentwas carried out in July2025. These measures are alBo considered lo minimise any fin8nci21 risk arising f rom potential losses or claims.

We are required to: Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently. 2. Observe the methods and principles in SORP. 3. Make judgements and estimates that 8re reasonable and prudent. 4. State whether the applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and exp18ined in the accounts. 5. Prepare the financial st8tementg on a going concern basi8 unless it Is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business. We are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable us to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011 and follow the principles in the new edition of the Charity Governance Code. We also have a responsibility to safeguard the assets of tho charty and to take reasoneble steps to prevent fraud or any other irregulaiities.

I report in respect of my examination of the Church's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515)Ibl of the Act.
