The United Benefice of Duffield and Little
| Eaton is in the heart of Derbyshire with
., COtrt)ined POF4Jlation of 7,600 and
churches. The DLETGM Charlty had for 14
ears finan￿d th8 Stipend. pension and
housing of a full-time minisler in the parish of
Li￿e Eaton and following his departure In
| 2020 the charity has Continued to SUPPDrt
Youth nwnistry in both villages.
Duffield Church is outside the village centre
and for some ts'me our vision has been to
offer a service lo the community in a friendly
ac(%ssible place where all ar6 welcome.
This will be a Comrnunty Café, space for
communty events and employment training
opwrtunities for young people.
In eady 2025 we reconstituted the Chartty as
Charitable Incorpwated Organisation
(CIO) which makes property-owning easi•r
and set about looking for a suitable buildlng
This became the lom￿r Midland Bank in a
very prominent posltion at the top end of
T(Mn Stre￿.
An app8al lo the congregatM)ns and well-
shers and sale of a house belonging to 2
Ixher sympathetic charities combined to fund
purchase of the Bank in August 2025. After
renovations and appropriate improvements
we hope to O￿n to our customers in late
2026.
