**Objects:** 1. TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF SHIRLEY IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON (HEREINAFTER CALLED ‘THE AREA OF BENEFIT’) WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS. IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS THE TRUSTEES SHALL HAVE POWER TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN OR MANAGE SUCH A CENTRE FOR ACTIVITIES PROMOTED BY THE CHARITY IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS. 2. TO ADVANCE SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE DETERMINED.

**Activities:** The activities carried out by SCCA to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Shirley in the LB of Croydon are:     Distribution of non-perishable food.Distribution of winter clothes and school uniforms to vulnerable families.Distribution of refurbished laptops, for educational purposes.Up to 3 scholarships for university students.Any other charitable activity deemed fit by the trustee
