An accessible therapeutic wellbeing garden, located in the rural town of Petworth, West Sussex offering social and therapeutic horticulture for individuals experiencing economic hardship, social isolation, disability, physical and mental ill health and social disadvantage. Home to inclusive, friendly and non-judgmental groups for people of all ages and abilities.
Objects: The Object[s] Of The CIO Are]1) The Relief Of Those In Need By Reason Of Youth, Age, Ill-Health, Disability, Financialhardship Or Other Social Or Economic Disadvantage By Supporting People In The Petworth Areaand West Sussex, Through The Provision Of A Community Wellbeing Garden Providingtherapeutic Horticulture, Accessible Rural Crafts, Seasonal Food Growing And Harvest Sharing,and Providing Accessible Support For Those With Additional Needs And Their Carers;2) To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing People From Becomingsocially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assistingthem To Integrate Into Society By Creating Inclusive, Non Judgemental, Accessible Projectswhere All Can Thrive Together, Reducing Isolation, Improving Physical And Mental Health Andself-Esteem, And Supporting Integration Into The Wider Community.for The Purpose Of This Clause ‘Socially Excluded’ Means Being Excluded From Society, Orparts Of Society, As A Result Of One Or More Of The Following Factors: Unemployment; Financialhardship; Youth Or Old Age; Ill Health (Physical Or Mental); Substance Abuse Or Dependencyincluding Alcohol And Drugs; Discrimination On The Grounds Of Sex, Race, Disability, Ethnicorigin, Religion, Belief, Creed, Sexual Orientation Or Gender Re-Assignment; Poor Educational Orskills Attainment; Relationship And Family Breakdown; Poor Housing (That Is Housing That Doesnot Meet Basic Habitable Standards; Crime (Either As A Victim Of Crime Or As An Offenderrehabilitating Into Society).(3) To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Conservation Protection And Improvement Ofthe Physical And Natural Environment By Promoting Biological Diversity And Following Theprinciples Of Permaculture, Organic, No-Dig, Low-Carbon, Wildlife Gardening.(4) To Advance Education In The Subject Of Low Carbon Gardening For The Public Benefit And Byproviding Training And Supporting The Development Of Transferable Skills Towards Theworkplace.nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With [Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005] And [Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008].
