The object of Nourish Fund is the relief of those in need by reason of hunger, malnutrition and poverty, through the provision of grants to charities that promote sustainable nutrition.

**The trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when planning and carrying out the charity’s activities.** 

During the period, Nourish Fund worked to relieve need arising from hunger, malnutrition and poverty by raising funds and making, or preparing to make, grants to suitable partner charities whose work promotes sustainable nutrition. **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

**During the period, Nourish Fund established partnerships with around 40 supplement and nutrition brands who agreed to support the charity through donations. These partnerships enabled the charity to raise funds and pass them on to support charitable work aligned with its objects. Funds raised during the period were used to support the provision of food for approximately 650 children for one week, helping to relieve need caused by hunger, malnutrition and poverty. As this was the charity’s first reporting period, the trustees also focused on establishing the charity’s governance arrangements, registering the CIO, and putting in place the foundations for future fundraising and grant-making activity.**

**The trustees aim to maintain reserves at a level sufficient to meet Brief statement of the the charity’s ongoing commitments and any essential charity’s policy on reserves administration costs. As Nourish Fund is primarily a grant-making charity, the trustees do not intend to hold excessive reserves and will seek to apply funds to charitable purposes within a reasonable period, while retaining enough cash to meet known liabilities and operate responsibly.**

## **1. Basis of preparation** 



These accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis from the Bank Statements sheet in the bookkeeping spreadsheet supplied by the trustees. Only transactions dated from 29 January 2025 to 31 July 2025 have been included. 

## **2. Funds** 

All funds have been treated as unrestricted. The trustees confirmed that no donations were restricted during the period. 

## **3. Opening cash balance** 

Cash funds brought forward at 29 January 2025 were £4,089.92. This represents cash held at the start of the charity's first reporting period, including pre-registration activity and the G&G loan disclosed below. 

## **4. Related party / connected party disclosure** 

At the year end the charity owed £5,000 to G&G Food Supplies Ltd. The trustees have confirmed this was a loan. G&G Food Supplies Ltd is connected to trustee Fabiano Calcioli. No interest has been included in these accounts.
