The overall income (£13,885) and expenditure (£7.429) for the period. Throughout this year. nurnbers and demand for th¢ Foodbank's services havc increased Donations have slowed down. We havc reached capacity of what we can achiev¢ weekly, but are looking at making our processes run more smoothly to help the volunteers cope with demand. We currently give out approximately up to 51 bags. These are for pensioners, single parent families, families on low income and single people living in slwed housing. We also have had a few university Students who have struggled to make ends meet temporarily. We gave out a few emergency vouchers to people with no income due to benefits change over or waiting for benefits. Additionally w¢ gave out air fyers and slow C(￿kerS to help people cook more heaIthily at home, and save money. Financial updates: Prices for Farcshare tonnage and public liability insurance have gone up and now have to pay a fee to the bank for our account since becoming a charity. We continue to receive free toiletries from the Hygiene Bank. To meet the demand we buy in extra food on a bi-weekly basis to ensure we have a wider variety of healthy and durable foods for our clients. To support this and additional support for our clients we have luckily received funding from the Brighton & Hove City Council as part of their Household Support Funding. This helped us give out additional shopping vouchers in emergency situations. To help our clients become financially secure, and less dependent on the foodbank. we invite support services whenever possible. The ones coming more regularly are Bhesco for energy saving and switching advice and Together Co for wellbeing SI￿poSt1ng, the local job club group for employment suppo¢ and individual support from money advice organisations. Our local councillors come regularly to hear v4)ices from the local community. For families with specific needs we link up with Pelican Parcels and Smarter Unifornls as well as Amaze for families with children with SEN. To make our clients cornfortable, comiect with others and feel welcome and safe, we have now established community run arts & crafts activities running alongside foodbank services on a weekly basis. There are free refreshments and volunteers who support with special arts projects - for example pottery. Some of our volunteers have benefitted from First Aid trainin& and we are continuing to recruit more volunteers. Currently we have 2 volunteers helping with occasional deliveries and food pick up, as well as 6 volunteers supporting the packing of food bags and client support weekly. We belong and benefit from support from Brighton & Hove Food Partnership and have support from Trust for Developing Communities Community Workers.
