Activities

With 15 years of experience in organising our community events, our activities include tree-planting, organising talks and discussion sessions in local community spaces, the Green Shift festival in collaboration with Curzon Cinema and Arts, the provision of information and advice to householders to improve the energy efficiency of their homes, and working with schools and local businesses.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:-1. To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment Of Clevedon And The Surrounding Area, By Initiating And Developing Local Projects And Events Aimed At:1. Promoting Biodiversity And Encouraging Nature Recovery And Local Habitat Regeneration, Including Tree Planting In The Local Area;2. Promoting Waste Reduction, Recycling, Reclamation And Re-Use Of Surplus Goods, And;3. Raising Awareness Of The Causes And Impact Of Climate Change, And Encouraging Practical Steps To Reduce Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Levels And Mitigate The Effects Of Climate Change.2. To Advance The Education Of The Public In The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment Of Clevedon And In Matters Relating To Climate Change And Environmental Conservation Generally.
