Achievements and Performance
| SORP reference | ||
|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | The Charity’s first year has been seen by networking/marketing (at Trustees’ own expense) with other pet rescue organisations to increase their Gift In Kind resources through awareness of the various opportunities around (Pets at Home Charity Partnerships, bins in supermarkets, ZooPlus charity of the month etc). the Charity has also kept a watching brief on supermarket bins - we’ve seen an increase in Tesco stores allowing bins. Sainsburys is handing over its Food Programme to FareShare/Olio on 1 july 2026 so it remains to be seen how this plays out with animal charities that have bins in Sainsburys stores. Waitrose, Aldi, Lidl, M&S continue to have a no bins policy. |
