Therefore, Harnal Foundation will present their annual report March together with the financial statements for the year which ended on the 31[st] 2026. The trustees of Harnal Foundation confirm that the Annual Report and the Financial Statements of the charity comply with the Charity’s constitution, the current statutory requirements of the Charity’s governing document and the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP), applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 01 January 2015). ## Introduction. **The Harnal foundation is a charitable incorporated organisation, registered with charity commission (England and Wales).** **The principal office of the Harnal foundation is in Preston, England UK.** **The Harnal foundation is operating in Punjab and Azad Kashmir regions in Pakistan.** **The Harnal foundation’s educational network is centrally managed from its Principal office Preston, England UK, under a decentralized functional structure led by Chairman Abdul Harnal.** ## Organisational Framework. ## **Centralized Policy Decisions:** **Core policies, budgets and curriculum decisions are directed from the Harnal’s principal office UK.** - **Regional Administration:** **Regional coordination and resource distribution are handled through regional offices in District Chiniot and Rawalpindi (Punjab) and Kotli (Azad Kashmir).** ## Schools Operations and Locations **The Harnal’s education service administers Primary and elementary schools targeted at providing free education to children from marginalized backgrounds.** **Running Primary and elementary schools in local villages and inside “Kachi Bastis” on the Bank of the River Chenab district Chiniot Punjab, Pakistan.** **Harnal foundation have a target of around 100 such schools within next 5 years.** **The local school administration emphasizes core literacy alongside practical life skills, including critical thinking, collaborative communication, vocational training and leadership development.** ## Objectives - **The purpose of our charity is to provide Elementary education to as many children as possible without compromising the ambitious standards displayed by our foundation. The charity has been working hard to provide education for the public benefit by providing free primary, middle and high school education to the disadvantaged children in Pakistan. Our aims include, setting up schools, supplying teaching and learning materials, and removing barriers to education such as poverty or lack of resources. We have opened Skills training courses under our foundation to appeal to a wider audience which includes women.** **The objectives of Harnal Foundation are for the public benefit. These include providing education to children and skill training courses to older individuals. Our beneficiaries have been deprived from basic human rights, the necessities of life and are living under the poverty line. They are discriminated because of their cast, creed, religion and social status. We aim, through our Primary, Middle and** **High Schools, to provide quality education to children from the ages of 5-15. We seek to provide a structured educational environment that develops our pupil’s capabilities, competences, and skills. We promote the academic, moral, and physical development of our pupils through our academic curriculum, pastoral care, and other activities. We provide an educational environment where each student can develop and fulfil their own personal potential, building their selfconfidence and inculcating a desire to contribute to the wider community. In doing so, we prepare our pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities, and the experiences of later life.** ## Achievements **The charity has established new schools by delivering additional funding to support the areas of the curriculum and have created a comprehensive program of co-curricular activities. A key focus during the year has not only been teaching and training, but also continuing the development of regular parental giving programs. For funding purposes, we started preparing available external grants and formal bids for the Harnal Foundation Schools to provide quality education to their pupils while providing quality training and time to the schools’ staff. Within 3 years, many children gained the ability to read and write English and Urdu and were able to solve simple math’s questions. This in itself is a massive achievement for Harnal foundation as these children have never been in school, and have been denied access to education generation after generation.** **At the end of this year, we recorded the amount of people who participated in our courses, the result was that more than 200 people from 170 families benefitted from our charitable activities, including women and children. During the year, more than 1200 families were benefitted from our activities, of which more than 500 children and young people were regular beneficiaries.** **Our aims include, setting up schools, supplying teaching and learning materials, and removing barriers to education such as poverty or lack of resources. We have opened Skills training courses under our foundation to appeal to a wider audience which includes women.** **Harnal Foundation conducted a feasibilities report for 10 such deprived areas in same district, where we are running two Elementary and one Primary schools.** **Harnal Trustees met regularly during the year to review budget, expenditure and projected income and to agree how best to support the school’s aspirations and needs. Outside of these meetings, requests for expenditure were consistent with the charity’s objectives, these were agreed by all Harnal Trustees. We also provided “Sewing and cutting”, “Health & beauty care” courses for ladies. All these achievements helped many young girls and women open opportunities for themselves so that they could generate income to help themselves and their family. We taught them many life skills and citizenship so that it may help them to integrate with other communities and succeed in life.** **In this year Harnal Foundation also started to build a Boarding school in Mandra Rawalpindi for High classes (9th and 10[th] ) where talented student will be accommodated for further education and training courses.** **Through our peaceful campaign and support, many “Identity deprived” children could get their Identity (Birth registration).** **During the floods in Pakistan during 2025, dozens of volunteers from Harnal Foundation participated in flood relief activities by running medical camps, providing food supplies, shelter support and clothes.** **Organisatonal structure** **The Trustees meet regularly during the year to discuss and approve the strategic direction of the Harnal Foundation and other relevant matters including: grant applications, policies, operational plans, investment strategy, budgets and financial accounts, and staff performance. The charity employs staff team to implement and support all aspects of its work. All Trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no benefits from the charity.** **Trustee inducton and training** **When Trustees join, they are provided with an induction into their responsibilities and the Harnal Foundation’s operations and governance. Trustees may undertake training or access other types of support, funded by the Harnal Foundation, to enable them better to fulfil the requirements of their role.** **Statement of responsibilites of the trustees** **Law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the charity's financial activities during the period and of its financial position at the end of the period. In preparing financial statements giving a true and fair view, the trustees should follow best practice and:** **● Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently** - **Observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP** - **Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent** **● State whether applicable UK Accounting Standards and statements of recommended practice have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements** **● Prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation.** **The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011.
