## **Objects and activities** 

The charity’s objects, as set out in its governing document, are: for the public benefit, the advancement of education of young people not in employment, education or training aged 16– 30 in London, through the provision of training, mentoring, educational materials and information media in the beauty industry, to help prepare or assist such persons to gain entry into the world of work. 

In setting the charity’s aims and planning its activities, the trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. All planned activities are directed at the educational and economic inclusion of young people facing barriers to employment, and any benefit to individuals is incidental to the advancement of their education and prospects of work. 

## **Achievements and performance** 

This was the charity’s first reporting period following registration in January 2025. The trustees took the deliberate decision to use the period to establish a sound operating foundation before commencing programme delivery to beneficiaries. Work completed during the period included: 

- Creating the charity’s public presence platform through the development of its website and social media platforms, to enable engagement with prospective beneficiaries, partners and supporters; 

- Developing the framework for the charity’s first beauty-industry training and mentoring initiatives, including scope, delivery model and target beneficiary groups; 

- Putting in place the governance and operating arrangements appropriate to a newly registered CIO. 



No direct programme activities with beneficiaries were delivered during the period. The trustees consider the foundational work completed to be a necessary and proportionate step toward safe, effective delivery in the year ahead. 

## **Safeguarding and planned delivery** 

Because the charity’s beneficiaries include young people aged 16 and over (some of whom may be under 18), the trustees recognise that appropriate safeguarding arrangements must be in place before any direct work with beneficiaries begins. The trustees are putting in place  a safeguarding policy and associated procedures, and will ensure relevant checks and training are completed prior to programme delivery. 

## **Financial review** 

During the period the charity neither received income nor incurred expenditure during the period. 

Reserves: The trustees will adopt a reserves policy appropriate to the charity’s stage of development.
