2. Structure, governance and management
Constitution and governance
TechForAll Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation governed by its constitution. The trustees are collectively responsible for the charity’s strategic direction, governance, compliance, safeguarding of charitable assets and oversight of activities carried out in the United Kingdom and overseas. This was the charity’s first reporting period following registration.
Trustee appointment, induction and decision-making
Trustees are appointed in accordance with the constitution. In considering future appointments, the board seeks an appropriate mix of skills and experience, including charity governance, finance, safeguarding, education, information technology, international delivery and community engagement.
Trustees are expected to understand the charity’s purposes, act only in its best interests, manage conflicts of interest, protect the charity’s reputation and assets, and ensure that decisions are properly considered and recorded. The trustees intend to strengthen induction, policy review and board reporting as the charity grows.

Organisational structure and overseas delivery
TechForAll Foundation is governed in England and Wales. During the period, its charitable work was focused principally on digital education and access to technology for young people in The Gambia. The trustees retained responsibility for ensuring that resources were applied for charitable purposes and that overseas activity was monitored proportionately.
3. Objectives, activities and public benefit
Charitable purposes applicable to the reporting period
During the reporting period, TechForAll Foundation’s work was directed towards the following charitable purposes:

Acting as a resource for young people up to the age of 25 living in The Gambia by providing advice, assistance and educational or developmental activities that build skills, capacities and capabilities, advance education and help relieve unemployment.

Advancing the education of the public in information technology (IT).
Post-period amendment: The charity’s constitution was amended on 28 March 2026 to include an additional object relating to free technology education, skills training and employment support for migrants and refugees in the United Kingdom who are at risk of homelessness, social exclusion or financial hardship. That later object is reflected only in the future-plans section of this report and is not presented as a 2025 activity.
Public benefit
The trustees confirm that they have had regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when planning and reviewing the charity’s activities. TechForAll Foundation seeks to create public benefit by reducing barriers to digital access, providing practical IT education and helping young people build skills, confidence and opportunities for further education, work and participation in society.
The charity’s approach combines access to suitable technology with learning and practical support. Donated laptops and other equipment are intended to become tools for education and inclusion rather than remaining unused or becoming electronic waste.
Main activities undertaken for the public benefit

Developing and delivering basic digital-skills education for young people in The Gambia.

Building relationships with schools and community stakeholders to support sustainable access to IT learning.

Securing in-kind donations of laptops, Chromebooks, computers, furniture and related resources from corporate and charitable partners.

Preparing donated resources for charitable use and arranging their shipment to The Gambia.

Promoting responsible reuse of technology to extend device life, reduce electronic waste and increase social value.
4. Achievements and performance
First-year establishment and development
The period was TechForAll Foundation’s first reporting period as a registered CIO. The charity concentrated on establishing governance and operational foundations, developing partnerships, securing donated resources and beginning delivery of digital education activities. These foundations enabled the charity to make progress despite receiving no grants and having no cash receipts or payments through its bank account.
Digital-skills education in Banjulinding
During 2025, TechForAll Foundation supported foundation-level digital-skills learning for young people in Banjulinding, The Gambia. The charity’s working records indicate that approximately 40 young people completed

basic IT learning during the year. The training was intended to build confidence in using computers and provide a practical foundation for education, further learning and future employment.
The delivery model also helped the charity test how donated technology, local learning spaces and communitybased support could be brought together to create accessible and sustainable digital education.
In-kind donations of laptops and Chromebooks
The charity received in-kind donations of laptops, Chromebooks and related technology from Good Things Foundation and corporate supporters including JLL, Colt and AES, together with support from other organisations. These donations increased the pool of technology available for education and digital inclusion without requiring the charity to purchase devices.
The trustees recognise that donated technology must be managed responsibly. Priorities include maintaining clear inventories, ensuring appropriate data-erasure arrangements, recording the destination and intended use of devices, and obtaining evidence of delivery and impact from recipient organisations.
Transport for London and Waste to Wonder donations
Between October to December 2025, TechForAll Foundation received significant in-kind support from Transport for London and Waste to Wonder Worldwide. Transport for London provided donated IT equipment, while Waste to Wonder provided furniture and other practical resources to support educational environments and community facilities.
These donations represented an important step in the charity’s development. They demonstrated the value of partnership between businesses, public bodies and charities: usable technology and furniture could be redirected from disposal or storage into educational and community use.
Container shipment to The Gambia
A container carrying donated equipment and furniture was prepared and shipped to The Gambia in December 2025. The shipment included resources received from Transport for London and Waste to Wonder. At the reporting date, items that had not yet been deployed to beneficiaries were held in transit or pending allocation for charitable use.
All costs connected with the charity’s activities during the reporting period, including the costs associated with collecting, preparing, packing and shipping donated resources, were paid personally by the founder from the founder’s own bank account. No money was paid into or out of TechForAll Foundation’s bank account.
Environmental and wider social value
By prioritising the reuse of laptops, Chromebooks, computers, furniture and other equipment, TechForAll Foundation contributed to a more circular approach to resources. Reuse can extend the useful life of equipment, reduce avoidable waste and create educational value for communities that may otherwise lack access to technology.
The charity has not claimed a quantified carbon or waste-reduction figure for the period because a verified measurement methodology was not in place. Future reporting will seek to improve device-level data and environmental impact measurement.
5. Founder support, volunteers and partnerships
Founder’s financial and voluntary contribution
The founder, Yaya Trawally, made a substantial personal contribution to the establishment and operation of TechForAll Foundation. During the reporting period, all charity-related costs were paid directly by the founder from personal funds. This included operational, administrative, logistical and shipment-related expenditure. The founder also contributed significant unpaid time to developing partnerships, coordinating donations, supporting programme development and arranging the movement of donated resources.

No money was transferred into the charity’s bank account to fund these costs, and no reimbursement was made by the charity during the period. The draft financial treatment assumes that no amount was repayable to the founder at 31 December 2025.
Trustees and volunteers
The trustees provided governance, oversight and voluntary support. No trustee received remuneration, benefits or reimbursement from the charity during the reporting period. The charity is grateful to all individuals who contributed time, knowledge, introductions and practical assistance.
Corporate and charitable partnerships
TechForAll Foundation’s first-year progress depended heavily on partnership. The trustees record their appreciation to GoodThings Foundation, JLL, Colt, AES, Transport for London, Waste to Wonder Worldwide and other organisations that donated equipment, furniture, expertise or practical support. These relationships enabled the charity to create impact without grant funding or cash expenditure through its bank account.
6. Financial review
Basis of accounting
The accompanying accounts have been prepared on the receipts-and-payments basis using the Charity Commission’s CC16 format. Receipts-and-payments accounts record movements of cash and cash equivalents into and out of the charity. As no money entered or left the charity’s bank account during the reporting period, the accounts report nil cash receipts, nil cash payments and a nil cash balance at 31 December 2025.

Founder-funded expenditure
All expenses supporting the charity’s work were paid directly by the founder from personal funds. Because these amounts did not pass through the charity’s bank account, they are not shown as cash receipts or cash payments in the Receipts and Payments Account. The founder’s support is disclosed in this report so that readers can understand how activity was made possible despite the charity having no cash income.
In-kind donations and assets
The charity received significant non-cash donations, including laptops, Chromebooks, IT equipment, furniture and related resources. Gifts in kind are not included as cash receipts in receipts-and-payments accounts. The main categories of donated assets held, in transit or pending allocation at the reporting date are described in the Statement of Assets and Liabilities. No monetary valuation has been included because a complete, consistently supported valuation was not available for all categories.

Reserves policy
The charity held no cash reserves at 31 December 2025. During this initial period, activities were supported by the founder and through in-kind donations. The trustees recognise that reliance on one individual is not a sustainable long-term funding model. As cash fundraising and grant income develop, the trustees intend to establish a proportionate reserves target based on the charity’s recurring costs, commitments and principal risks.
Going concern and financial sustainability
The charity has no employees, borrowings or material cash commitments recorded in these draft accounts. Its ability to expand future delivery will depend on securing diversified income, maintaining donor partnerships and avoiding commitments that cannot be supported by available resources. The trustees will review financial sustainability regularly and will not undertake material expenditure without an identified source of funding or approved support.
7. Principal risks and management
The trustees have considered the principal risks arising from the charity’s early-stage, international and technology-focused activities. The following areas will remain priorities for governance and control:

Fundraising
The charity received no grant funding and no cash donations during the reporting period. It did not use professional fundraisers or commercial participators and received no fundraising complaints. Partnership development during the period focused mainly on obtaining suitable in-kind donations and practical support.

Grant making
TechForAll Foundation did not make cash grants during the reporting period. Its charitable support was delivered through education, access to donated technology and the provision or planned deployment of equipment and practical resources for charitable use.
Trustee payments and benefits
No trustee was paid for acting as a trustee or for providing goods or services to the charity during the reporting period. No trustee expenses were reimbursed by the charity.

9. Plans for the future and post-period developments
Future priorities

Deploy the equipment and furniture shipped in December 2025 to support schools, digital-learning centres, health or community facilities in The Gambia, in line with the charity’s purposes and documented allocation decisions.

Expand structured digital-skills learning and improve attendance, completion, progression and beneficiaryfeedback records.

Strengthen the asset register, donor records, data-erasure evidence, shipping documentation and recipient acknowledgements.

Develop a diversified funding plan so that future delivery does not depend primarily on the founder’s personal financial support.

Develop further corporate partnerships for suitable technology, equipment, expertise and financial support.

Improve measurement of digital-inclusion outcomes and the environmental benefits associated with responsible reuse of technology.
UK migrant and refugee digital-inclusion programme
Following the amendment to the charity’s constitution on 28 March 2026, TechForAll Foundation plans to develop free technology education, digital-skills training, employability support and pathways into work for migrants and refugees in the United Kingdom who are at risk of homelessness, social exclusion or financial hardship. This is a future programme and did not form part of the charity’s 2025 delivery.
Post-period deployment and impact reporting
The trustees intend to report future distributions, training participation and beneficiary outcomes in the reporting period in which those activities occur. The December 2025 shipment should therefore be distinguished from the later deployment and use of the equipment after arrival in The Gambia.
10. Statement of trustees’ responsibilities
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and the charity’s accounts for each financial period in accordance with the Charities Act 2011, the regulations applicable to charitable incorporated organisations and the charity’s constitution.
In fulfilling these responsibilities, the trustees are required to:
- keep accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the charity’s transactions, assets and liabilities;

prepare accounts that are consistent with those records and use an accounting basis permitted for the charity;

3. Founder-funded expenditure
All operational, administrative, project and logistics costs associated with the charity’s activities during the period were paid directly by the founder from personal funds. These payments did not pass through the charity’s bank account and are therefore not included as receipts or payments in the cash accounts.
No reimbursement was made during the period. The draft Statement of Assets and Liabilities records no liability to the founder on the assumption that no reimbursement is expected. The founder and trustees should document and approve that treatment before filing.
4. In-kind donations

7. Funds
The charity held no cash funds at the year end. Donor conditions relating to any in-kind assets should be reviewed and reflected in the asset register and allocation records. No endowment funds were held.
8. International charitable activity
The charity carried out and prepared charitable activity relating to The Gambia. A container of donated equipment and furniture was shipped in December 2025. The trustees are responsible for retaining appropriate records of the shipment, recipient organisations, deployment, safeguarding, asset use and subsequent impact.
9. CIO guarantees and secured debts
No outstanding guarantees given by the CIO and no debts secured by an express charge over the CIO’s assets have been identified in this draft. The trustees must confirm these disclosures before approval.
10. Events after the reporting period
On 28 March 2026, the charity’s constitution was amended to add a charitable purpose relating to education and support for migrants and refugees in the United Kingdom who are at risk of homelessness, social exclusion or financial hardship.
