## **Charity Objectives** 

The Proportion Charity exists to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable individuals and families who are homeless in the community and London generally. The mission of assisting homeless individuals by offering essential supplies, including dry food, toiletries, blankets, and other necessary items. Our focus is on supporting those in need in our community and around the Essex and London areas, particularly during the Christmas season. 

We distribute these items as wrapped gifts on Christmas day, aiming to uplift the spirits of the homeless and make them feel valued. Beyond the emotional boost, these provisions also serve a practical purpose, providing valuable resources to those who require them. 

## **Trustees** 

The following individuals served as trustees during the reporting period: 

- Elizabeth Joel (Chair) 

- Unice Olusina 

- Alice Awomuti 

## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

The charity is governed by its Constitution. Trustees are appointed according to the Constitution and are responsible for ensuring that the charity fulfils its objectives and complies with all legal and regulatory requirements. Trustees meet quarterly to review performance, approve policies, monitor risks, and oversee financial management. 

## **Activities and Achievements** 

During the year, the charity: 

- Provided clothes, Toiletries, blankets 

- Visit the streets to give our necessities to the homeless. 

- Wrapping Day: A day in the life of proportion where we meet to wrap gifts 

- Christmas Day: Visit the streets, shelters and give out the gift to the homeless. 

- Partnered with local organisations to increase access to essential services. 

These activities helped improve individual wellbeing. Improve their mental state and give them hope that they are part of the community. 

## **Financial Review** 

At the end of the financial year, the charity held total funds of £0.00.as of September 2025. We started operation November 2025. Account opened November 2025.

The trustees believe that the charity remains financially stable and able to continue its activities. 

## **Reserves Policy** 

The trustees aim to maintain unrestricted reserves equivalent to yearly of operating expenditure. Gift items donated by trustees and other individuals for the homeless. This provides financial stability and allows the charity to respond to unexpected events. 

## **Risk Management** 

The trustees regularly review the principal risks facing the charity, including financial sustainability, safeguarding, data protection, and operational risks. Appropriate policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place to manage these risks. 

## **Plans** 

In the coming year, the charity intends to: 

- Expand on visiting the homeless: Homes, streets, and shelters and rough sleeping areas. 

- Increase partnerships with local organisation. 

- Donate to assist disasters locally and nationally 

- Improve monitoring and evaluation of programme outcomes. 

## **Trustees' Responsibilities** 

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees' Annual Report and financial statements in accordance with applicable law and accounting standards. They are satisfied that the financial statements provide a true and fair view of the charity's financial position.
