The trustees are responsible for the keeping of proper accounting records, which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charity Act 2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence to take reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. Details of the charity’s activities and public benefit delivered during the year are set out in Section D (Achievements and performance). ## **Section D Achievements and performance** **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** This was the charity’s first reporting period following registration with the Charity Commission on 5th December 2024. During the year, the trustees established the charity’s banking and financial systems and began delivering overseas charitable programmes focused on poverty relief and supporting those in hardship across Pakistan, Malawi and Egypt. Activities included the provision of clean water facilities, food aid, blankets, educational materials, the construction of a community centre, support for an organisation assisting refugee children, and seasonal Qurbani meat distributions to families in need. 6 **Ziyara Trust** ## **Receipts and Payments Accounts for the year ended 31[st] December 2025** ## **Section D Achievements and performance** The charity worked with UK-registered partner charities and directly with beneficiaries to ensure funds were applied for their intended charitable purposes. The trustees also implemented governance policies and adopted an evidence-based approach, obtaining photographic, video, and written evidence to monitor project delivery and provide assurance to donors and trustees. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31/12/2025.** **Responsibilities and basis of report** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
