**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE PROVIDING FOR THE BENEFIT AND RELIEF OF CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF SIXTEEN YEARS ON THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY IN ANY PARTICULAR YEAR OF BENEFIT WHO RESIDE WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT (AS DEFINED IN CLAUSE 29 (INTERPRETATION)) WHO THROUGH A DISPLAY OF EXCEPTIONAL CHARACTER IN OVERCOMING DIFFICULTY ARISING OUT OF SERIOUS SICKNESS OR INJURY OF WHATEVER NATURE AS DEEMED BY THE TRUSTEES TO BE DESERVING OF AN AWARD TO RECOGNISE SUCH ACHIEVEMENT BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY OR OTHERWISE TO OR FOR THE BENEFIT OF SUCH PERSONS OR BY ARRANGING HOLIDAYS FOR THEM OR OTHERWISE PROVIDING GI3S AND PRIZES OF ATANGIBLE NATURE OR OTHERWISE.

**Activities:** We provide for children under the age of 16 years residing in the North East of England ,who through a display of exceptional character in overcoming difficulties arising out of serious sickness or injury, an award and age appropriate gifts to recognise this bravery
