**Objects:** TO ENCOURAGE AND ADVANCE THE KNOWLEDGE AND APPRECIATION OF THE VISUAL ARTS BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND TO SUPPORT RESEARCH AND ACADEMIC STUDY OF THE HISTORY AND CONTEMPORARY PRACTICE OF FINE ART, ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN.

**Activities:** The Foundation's primary activity is as a publisher of serious visual-arts books under the Lund Humphries imprint.  It is also committed to a programme of talks and panel discussions which help to disseminate the research content of its publications to the general public. In addition, the Foundation supports the visual-arts community through targeted donations to UK arts institutions.
