1. OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
The objective of the association is to advance the education of pupils in school, in particular
by developing effective relationships between the staff parent and others associated with the
school, engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and
advance the education of the pupils.
Activities of Friends of Bretton School (FOBS) focus on fund raising to enable activities, events
and equipment to be resourced to further enrich school life for the benefit of pupils.
Fund raising activities in the reporting period included:

2. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
The charity's principal source of funding in the reporting period was derived from a successful
grant application of £20,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund in support of
playground enhancements.
Fund raising activities totalled £28685.45 in the reporting period enabling FOBS to contribute
to over £11,000 worth of initiatives in the academic year including but not limited to:
£4850.00 to support West Bretton Junior & Infant School's new library
£770.00 for the purchase of 5 new iPads to support children's learning
£1400.00 to support fun enriching activities for school pupils
£760.00 for new classroom facilities
£270.00 for learning and communication applications
Coop Local Community Funding for the school's Plant to Plate initiative along with Tesco
Stronger Starts Funding for the development of the school's therapy room were further utilised
within the reporting period.

The commitment and contributions of the Trustees of FOBS, volunteers, teaching staff and
the school community should be applauded. Donations in the reporting period have included:

Special Visit From Santa
The ongoing unwavering support of FOBS from the school and wider community continues to
enable FOBS to effectively discharge its objectives.
3. GOVERNANCE
Conversion to charity status on 3rd December 2024 broadened grant application opportunities
with opportunities expected to be fully maximised post 12 months of holding charity status.

My examination is carried out in a¢cordancB with general Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a sample review of the accounting records kept by
