**Objects:** TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE PROTECTION, IMPROVEMENT AND CONSERVATION OF DANES MOSS AND OTHER PEATLAND IN MACCLESFIELD AND SURROUNDING AREAS THROUGH: A) PROVIDING EDUCATION, RESEARCH, SUPPORT, INFORMATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO THE PUBLIC AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS IN MATTERS RELATING TO PEATLAND, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND CREATING HEALTHY ECOSYSTEMSB) PROVIDING RESEARCH, ADVICE, COMMENT AND, IF REQUIRED, CHALLENGE ON PEATLAND PROTECTION AND CONSERVATION TO GOVERNMENT, CORPORATIONS AND OTHERS. C) SUPPORTING AND UNDERTAKING THE RESTORATION AND MANAGEMENT OF PEATLAND AND ADJACENT AREAS TO HELP MITIGATE THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND CREATE AND SAFEGUARD BIODIVERSE AND RESILIENT LINKING HABITATS.D) PROVIDING FUNDING IN SUPPORT OF ALL OF THE ABOVE.

**Activities:** We promote the ecological improvement and conservation of Danes Moss and other peatlands in Macclesfield and surrounding areas. We provide education and encouragement to the public and other stakeholders for peatland conservation and restoration. We undertake to run such projects ourselves. We run the 'Save Danes Moss' campaign to protect the Danes Moss peatland from development.
