## **2. Structure, governance and management** 

HEAD OF GRACE CHRISTIAN NETWORK is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) operating under a Foundation Model constitution dated 25 October 2024. The charity is regulated by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. The trustees are the only voting members of the CIO and are responsible for the governance, strategic direction and management of the charity. 

## **3. Objects and public benefit** 

The object of the CIO is to advance the Christian faith for the benefit of the public in the United Kingdom in accordance with the Statement of Faith through sermons, worship, prayer, religious education, Christian fellowship, outreach and pastoral care. The charity currently operates physically in Newcastle Upon Tyne. 

The trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and that the charity’s activities during the year were carried out in furtherance of its charitable objects for the public benefit. 

## **4. Activities, achievements and performance** 

This was the charity’s first financial period following registration. During the year the trustees focused on establishing governance structures, fundraising through donations and gifts, reclaiming eligible VAT, and planning charitable activities including a family retreat scheduled for April 2026. 



## **5. Financial review** 

Total income for the period amounted to £29,572.41 and total expenditure was £24,208.98, resulting in a surplus of £5,363.43. Income comprised donations and gifts, VAT reclaim, card cashback rebates, and contributions received in advance for a future charitable retreat. 

The trustees consider the financial position of the charity to be satisfactory and believe the charity is a going concern. 

## **6. Reserves policy** 

The trustees aim to maintain sufficient reserves to meet ongoing operational costs and to support planned charitable activities, including future retreats and outreach programmes. 

## **7. Plans for future periods** 

In the coming year the charity intends to deliver the planned family retreat in April 2026, continue fundraising activities, and expand its charitable work in line with its objects. 

## **8. Trustees’ responsibilities statement** 

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and the Receipts and Payments accounts in accordance with applicable law and regulations.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the period 21 November 2024 to 29 October 2025, which comprise the Receipts and Payments Account and the Statement of Balances. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity trustees of HEAD OF GRACE CHRISTIAN NETWORK, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011. My responsibility is to examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention: • which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act 2011 have not been met; or • to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
