Formation - establishing and managing prayer groups, evangelisation centres, running spiritual and formative retreats, courses, talks, catechesis based on the Catholic faith. Contemplation - carrying out religious devotional acts, providing a place of worship, and spiritual nourishment.

Objects: The Object Of The CIO, To Be Carried Out For The Public Benefit In The United Kingdom And Such Otherparts Of The World As The Trustees Shall From Time To Time Determine, Is:to Advance The Christian Religion According To The Faith, Tenets, Teachings, And Mission Of The Roman Catholic Church And The Shalom Catholic Community, International Private Association Of The Faithful, According To Canon Law [298-311] And [321-326], By Means Of Contemplation, Unity And Evangelisation, To Generate And Form A People Of Disciples And Missionaries Of Jesus Christ, True Witnesses And Ministers Of His Peace To The World. Within This Same Object, The CIO Also Seeks To Assist Those In Need And Contribute To The Relief Of Poverty In Alignment With Our Mission And Statutory Responsibilities (Cf. Statutes Of Shalom Catholic Community, Article [193].
