## **TRUSTEES’ REPORT** 

RSPCA Sussex West Branch CIO was registered by the Charities Commission for England and Wales on the 21[st] November 2024. 

During 2025, the trustees’ embarked on the journey to transfer the assets from the unincorporated charity RSPCA Sussex West Branch charity registration no 206300 to the newly incorporated charity, RSPCA Sussex West Branch CIO charity registration no. 1211045. 

The CIO will have a new Constitution, a contemporary governing document tailored to reflect modern requirements in the Charities Act 2022 and current best practice for charities. We will enter into a Partnership Agreement with the National RSPCA and continue to work closely with the RSPCA Inspectorate and other local, independently registered RSPCA branches. Our charitable purpose at the heart of the new Constitution remains the same as does our mission: to **rescue, rehabilitate and rehome** animals in need. 

This transition process concluded on the 1[st] January 2026 with the transfer of assets from the unincorporated charity into the incorporation charity. 

During the period of 21[st] November 2024 to 31[st] December 2025, no financial transaction took place, therefore there are no financial statements covering this period of time.
