Trustee Annual Report 2025

Since the conception of the charity in November 2024 we have seen the club continue to grow, with additions in all junior & youth age groups.

Unfortunately, we have lost some players in the adult section, however next season we have three players due to move up into open age, and we continue to advertise for players.

Through grant making, and local sponsorship we have had new sponsors come on board, including Unique Utility Solutions and Certified Security Solutions and retained British Gas for the Junior & Youth section and BHM Leicester Ltd for the adult provision. We also received a generous donation of footballs, bibs and football boots from C3 Construction.

All this has allowed us to grow our reserve pot, however as previously mentioned sums are ringfenced for a potential partnership with Countesthorpe Academy on their 3G project, which is a vital component in us being able to continue to grow and evolve as a charity.

Larger 3G facilities will provide much needed room to grow our groups, and will hopefully attract new users.

This year we have forged new bonds with a local charity, The RAFT, who support children who have been fostered or adopted, and their trusted adults, where we have provided football coaching sessions.

Our new SEN holiday clubs have also been well received, and as a pilot, proved to be a much-welcomed addition to the SEN community, which we aim to continue into 2026.

Whilst 2025 has proven to be a positive first step into being a charity, we have sadly lost two or our original trustees due to differences in direction and opinions on how the charity should be run. We will be looking to recruit two new trustees in due course.

Going into the next stage of our charity plan, we aim to continue to build strong foundations within the SEN community, look at what we can provide outside of football, and the impact we can make.

## **Blaby District Spartans Inclusive Football Club**

## **Charity number 1211010**

## **Treasurer’s Report**

## **Period to 31.07.2025**

This is the first Treasurers report as a charity and the opening cash position was zero. All funds from the club were transferred to the charity on the day of incorporation and have been reported as income gifted from the club.

Income in the period of £18,997.80 and expenditure was £13,054.80. Therefore the income over expenditure at the end of 31st July 2025 was £5,943.00. However, please note that £4,490.36 was gifted to the charity from the club at the date of incorporation. The closing cash balance was £5,943.00.

Ring-fenced funds as at the end of July include £285.20 from Centrica for Walking Football kit, not yet ordered (awaiting new season player sizes) and £500 Blaby Council grant, received for flags/ banners/promotional items.

It is also noted, that the Trustees are currently in discussion with Countesthorpe Academy in regards to becoming a partner club, which will incur an estimated cost of around £3,000, which will need to be paid upfront, but will secure discounted pitch fees for the partner period, secure training times and use of the new pitch once built (due 2026). NB. This is not yet confirmed or committed, but is to be noted by the reader.

NB. The financial records have received a summary independent review in the period as this is seen as best practice, although it is noted that officially the charity is not yet large enough to require this review.
