THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD (RCCG) HALLELUYAH ASSEMBLY
Trustees' Report for the Period 31 October 2024 to 31 July 2025
The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the period 31 October 2024 to 31 July 2025. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).
Objectives and activities
Objectives and aims
The objectives of the Church are to advance the christian faith worldwide for the benefit of the public and in accordance with the statement of faith and to relieve poverty worldwide.
Public benefit
The trustees confirm that they have complied with the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit.
Volunteers
The charity is run by volunteers who assist in achieving its objectives.
Achievements and performance
Charitable activities
During its first period of operation, the charity focused on establishing its governance structure, operational procedures and charitable activities.
The charity successfully:
established its operational and financial systems; developed governance and oversight procedures; commenced delivery of charitable activities aligned with its objects; and continued engagement with beneficiaries, supporters and the wider community.
The trustees are satisfied with the progress made during the charity’s initial period and intend to continue developing the charity’s activities and long-term sustainability.
Internal and external factors
During the transition to incorporation, the trustees identified that loans had previously been advanced from funds intended for charitable purposes to certain members and parties connected with management prior to the formal appointment of the charity’s trustees.
Following incorporation, the trustees reviewed these arrangements and concluded that such lending was not consistent with the charity’s intended governance framework or charitable purposes. The trustees therefore took immediate action to request repayment of all outstanding balances.
A substantial proportion of the balances had been recovered, with the remaining amounts continuing to be actively pursued. The trustees have since implemented strengthened financial controls and governance procedures to prevent similar matters arising in future.
