## **2. Objectives and Activities** 

DiveInclusive exists to make scuba diving accessible to children and young people from underrepresented backgrounds. The charity focuses on removing financial, social, and accessibility barriers to participation in scuba diving. 

Its key objectives are to: 

- Provide free or subsidised scuba diving experiences 

- Build confidence, resilience, and life skills in young people 



- Increase diversity and representation within the diving community 

Activities are delivered primarily through structured pool-based sessions and progression pathways into recognised scuba certifications. 

## **3. Achievements and Performance** 

During the financial period, DiveInclusive: 

- Delivered regular scuba diving sessions for young participants 

- Supported progression into structured training programmes 

- Continued to build partnerships with training providers and sponsors 

- Expanded awareness through social media and community engagement 

The charity has continued to operate efficiently, ensuring that the majority of funds are directed towards delivering direct impact for beneficiaries. 

## **4. Financial Review** 

## **Income** 

Total income for the period was **£8,007.56** , comprising: 

- **Donations and Sponsorships:** £4,659.50 

- **Charitable Activities (admin/course contributions):** £3,192.13 

- **Other Trading Activities (merchandise):** £155.93 

The charity remains primarily funded through donations and sponsorship, with additional support from participant contributions. 



## **Expenditure** 

Expenditure during the period included: 

- **Charitable Activities:** Costs associated with delivering scuba training and sessions (e.g. training providers such as JC Scuba) 

- **Operational Costs:** Website, software subscriptions, communications, and administration 

- **Marketing & Outreach:** Social media support, promotional materials, and merchandise production 

The charity has maintained a lean operating model, ensuring that spending is aligned with delivering impact. 

## **Net Movement in Funds** 

The charity recorded a **SURPLUS/DEFICIT – £1851.83** for the period. 

**Closing bank balance:** £1087.55 

## **5. Reserves Policy** 

The trustees have discussed and agreed an intention to maintain a minimum level of financial reserves to support ongoing operations and manage unexpected costs. This reserve level is reviewed periodically. 

## **6. Structure, Governance and Management** 

DiveInclusive is governed by its trustees, who are responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of the charity. 



The trustees meet periodically to review:

- Operational delivery 

- Risk and safeguarding considerations 

Day-to-day operations are managed by the founder with support from external service providers where required.

The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. The activities carried out by DiveInclusive 



provide clear public benefit through improving access to recreational and developmental opportunities for young people. 

## **10. Statement of Trustees’ Responsibilities** 

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations. 

The trustees confirm that: 

- The financial statements give a true and fair view of the charity’s financial position 

- • Proper accounting records have been kept 

- The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis
