ANNUAL TRUSTEE REPORT
Wellness Community Partnership For the period ending June 2025
1. Our Purpose
Wellness Community Partnership was established to support vulnerable adults, people with disabilities, and the wider community through wellbeing, connection, and access to green spaces. The charity aims to improve mental health, reduce isolation, and provide opportunities for people to develop skills and confidence in a safe and inclusive environment.
2. What We Did (Activities)
During our first year, we have worked tirelessly to establish the charity and deliver a wide range of community-focused activities. These include:

Developing and maintaining a community garden space

Growing organic food to support local food cupboards
-
Delivering 18 yoga and meditation sessions to support mental health and wellbeing
-
Running 23 craft sessions to encourage creativity and social connection
-
Delivering independent living skills sessions
-
Organising 2 community events, including a VE Day celebration attended by local residents, councillors, and the Mayor of Ellesmere Port
-
Providing guidance and signposting for individuals who needed support with EHCPs and access to local food banks.

Establishing an outreach Green Team, supporting local areas in Ellesmere Port by tidying and improving green spaces
3. Achievements & Impact
In our first year, we have made a significant impact within our community. Key achievements include:

Supporting vulnerable adults and improving wellbeing through regular activities
-
Creating a welcoming and inclusive community garden space
-
Producing fresh, organic food for those in need
-
Building strong community engagement through events and outreach work
-
Developing accessible garden facilities, including raised beds for wheelchair users and support for older volunteers
-
Working in partnership with local organisations to strengthen community support networks
We are especially proud to have:

We were nominated for the RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood scheme in June 2025 and received an outstanding award level 5 later on in the year.

Successfully engaged with a wide range of local residents and volunteers

Built a strong foundation for long-term community impact and mental health organisations.
4. Governance & Management
The charity is governed by a board of trustees who oversee all activities and ensure that the organisation operates in line with its charitable objectives.
The trustees meet regularly to manage:

Financial oversight and accountability
-
Safeguarding and support for vulnerable individuals
All decisions are made in accordance with the charity’s governing document and with a focus on delivering benefit to the community.
5. Financial Overview
During this period, the charity successfully secured funding to support its development and activities. Funders included:

Entep community fund
-
Cheshire West and Chester Council (Member Budget)
These funds have enabled the development of garden infrastructure, resources, and community programmes.
6. Successes

Engaging with local networks, including health and food-growing networks
7. Vision & Future Plans
Looking ahead, Wellness Community Partnership aims to continue growing and expanding its impact. Plans include:

Developing a woodworking shed to provide practical skills opportunities
-
Expanding the Green Team outreach programme across the local area
-
Introducing sustainable solutions, including solar energy and rainwater collection
-
Continuing to develop the garden space, including a cabin, toilet facilities, and outdoor shelter
-
Increasing opportunities for young people and adults to gain skills linked to green or social care careers.

Strengthening partnerships with local organisations and community groups
The trustees are extremely proud of the progress made in the charity’s first year and are committed to building a sustainable, inclusive, and supportive environment for the community.
