- **Risk Management:** The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed, in particular those related to the operations and finances of the Mandir, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to those risks. 

## Section C: Objectives and Activities 

**Summary of Objects:** To promote the advancement of the Hindu religion in Dartford and the surrounding areas for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals, and producing and/or distributing literature on Hinduism. 

**Public Benefit Statement:** The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit. The Mandir is open to all members of the public, providing a spiritual hub and community support regardless of background.

## Section D: Achievements and Performance 

In the 2025 – 2026 period, Dartford Hindu Mandir achieved the following milestones: 

- **Religious Observances:** Successfully hosted major festivals including **Maha Shivaratri** , **Deepavali** , and **Krishna Janmashtami** , with record community attendance. 

- **Weekly Services:** Maintained a consistent schedule of Aarti and Bhajans, providing spiritual continuity for the local Hindu diaspora. 

- **Educational Workshops:** Organized **Shri Saraswathi Puja** and associated workshops focused on wisdom and knowledge for local youth. 

- **Community Integration:** Participated in **South Asian Heritage Month** celebrations in Dartford, fostering "Roots to Routes" dialogue and cultural pride. 

- **Cultural Programs:** Hosted regular devotional evenings and "Swosthani Matha Katha" sessions to preserve traditional Vedic storytelling and practices.

- **Principal Funding Sources:** The charity’s income is primarily derived from voluntary donations and puja services provided to the community. 

- **Reserves Policy:** The trustees aim to maintain a level of free reserves (unrestricted funds) that covers at least six months of essential operating costs (approx. £5,000 –£10,000) to ensure the Mandir’s long -term stability. 

- **Financial Position:** As of the latest records, the charity remains in a healthy surplus, with funds being reinvested into temple maintenance and community outreach programs.
