Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:(1) To Develop The Capacity And Skills Of The Members Of The Socially And Economically Disadvantaged Community Of Coventry And The Midlands In Such A Way That They Are Better Able To Identify, And Help Meet, Their Needs And To Participate More Fully In Society.(2) To Promote For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Coventry And The Midlands The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances Or For The Public At Large In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving The Condition Of Life Of The Said Inhabitants.(3) To Advance The Education Of The Public In Coventry And The Midlands By The Provision Of Educational Programmes Including Literacy Classes, Vocational Training, And Digital Skills Workshops.(4) The Relief Of Sickness And The Preservation Of Health Among People Residing Permanently Or Temporarily In Coventry And The Midlands By Working With Mental Health Professionals To Provide Specialised Support To Those In Need And Organising Support Groups And Workshops On Stress Management And Mindfulness.
