Harbourside Evangelical Church CIO Report and Financial Statements for the period 08 October 2024 to 30 April 2025

Aim and purposes

Harbourside Church CIO has the responsibility of promoting the mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic and social.

During this reporting period no buildings were owned or maintained by the CIO.

Objectives and Activities

Harbourside Church CIO is established for the charitable purposes of:

(i) the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith set out in the CIO’s constitution, primarily but not exclusively within Bridlington and the surrounding neighbourhood; and

(ii) such other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the CIO’s trustees, put into practice the Christian faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith set out in the CIO’s constitution, including but not limited to: the prevention and relief of need, hardship and sickness; the advancement of education; and the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life; provided that the advancement of such purposes must be undertaken in a manner that is consistent with the Doctrinal Distinctives and Ethical Statements as may be adopted and amended by the CIO from time to time in accordance with the CIO’s constitution.

Achievements and Performance

Harbourside Evangelical Church CIO was registered as a charity on 08 October 2024 with an accounting year end of 30 April 2025. The charity did not operate in any capacity during this period as the change from the previous legal structure - a charitable unincorporated association, had not been finalised.

The trustees of Harbourside Evangelical Church CIO held regular meetings during this period to prepare for the time when it would be operational.
