The Organisation for African Migration IOAMI was established to support African migrants
through the provision of migration services, advocacy, collaboration, and capacity-building

During the financial period from 07 October 2024 10 01 May 2025, the organisation was in ils
initial eslablishmenl and development phase. No operational service delivery activities took
pla￿. Activities undertaken during this period ineluded..

Eslablishment and development of govemance structures including the Council, Forum,
and Management Team
Adoption of the OAM Conslilution, OAM Charter. and OAM Project Proposal
Acceptance of founding and accession members, including The Body and Mind Project

Development of project proposals and frameworks for future programme delivery

Background and Context
The OAM was proposed by CAD-HR to community leaders of various African Diaspora
Communities in the UK on 10 January 2024, following a request from the OISC lo work
collaboratively with migrant communities lo address exploitation and mistrealmenl of refugees
and asylum seekers in the UK.
4. Achievements
Despite being in ils setup phase. the organisalion successfully..
Established its governan￿, conslilutional, and organisalional structure
Finalised and adopted the OAM Charter and governing documents
Developed a comprehensive migration project proposal
Onboarded founding members representing African Diaspora Communities across the
UK
Achieved formal registration with the Charity Commission for England and Wales on 07
October 2024 (Charity No. 12103731

The organisation's accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis, in
accordance with the Charilies Slalement of Recommended Practice (Charities SORP).

its initial operalional phase following registration

the perDd is £NIL.
Note: The absence of a bank account and nil financial transactions is consistent with the
organisation's status as a newly established charity in ils setup phase. Steps are being taken to
open a designated charity bank account as a priority.
