Annual Report 2026 for the Curious Talent Foundation.
For our Annual Report in 2025 we commented that “During the reporting period the charity was in a state of development. We were recruiting and establishing our board of trustees, establishing our operating rules. We were involved in identifying potential new premises.”

Our mission is to ensure that every child, regardless of financial circumstance or background, has the opportunity to develop confidence, creativity, communication skills, and a sense of belonging through high-quality performing arts training.
For this year’s 2026 Report we can describe considerable progress.
Trustees and Governance
We have now established a strong Board of nine Trustees with expertise and experience in the Charity Sector, fundraising, strategic and operational business management, information systems, sports management, safeguarding, legal issues, education and training with shared passion to bring the benefits of Performing Arts education and training to all children and young people.
Our main objects were updated “For the public benefit, the advancement of education in the performing arts of children aged 3-22 years, in Lincolnshire and surrounding areas
(i) grants to organisations offering performing arts education and training, in particular but not limited to the Curious Academy of Talent
(ii) educational grants to individuals
(iii)other ways as the trustees may determine for these purposes"
Practices and procedures were developed to establish policies for Complaints, Serious Incident Reporting, Expenses, Bullying and Harassment and social media. A new strategic plan is in development, drawing on the expertise of the Trustees and volunteers.
Fundraising
Through individual donations and events, in this first year of fundraising, we have raised over £5000. Our initial ambition remains to reach an annual income of £20,000 per year which we believe will have a real impact towards achieving our aims. However, the ambitions of the Trustees extend to higher levels of income if we are to have the impact we seek.
Our new strategy will include greater involvement of potential donors and supporters from industry.
Grants
We have allocated over £4000 in grants this year to the Curious Academy of Talent covering a range of equipment to enhance the experience of young people being educated and trained in Performing Arts, including devices for performance and preparation for education and training, security, and the quality of their environment.
Premises
We are now based in the Performing Arts Building of Lincoln Bishop University alongside the Curious Academy of Talent. This exciting new base will become a vibrant creative hub for children and young people, offering a safe and inspiring environment for training, rehearsals, performances, outreach projects, workshops, and community collaboration.
