Activities

Chichester Pride CIO promotes equality, diversity and inclusion for the public benefit, with a focus on LGBTQ people in Chichester and the surrounding area. We do this through education, public events, artistic and cultural activities, community engagement, partnerships with local organisations, plus an annual Pride Parade and Event, accessible and welcoming for the benefit of the wider community.

Objects: The Objects Of Chichester Pride Are To Promote Equality And Diversity For The Public Benefit As Well As Promoting The Elimination Of Discrimination With Regards To Sexual Orientation And Gender Identity In Chichester Through: (1) Organising And Promoting Events Throughout The Year To Celebrate The LGBTQ+ Community And Raise Awareness Of Discrimination And Other Issues Affecting The LGBTQ+ Community And The Advancement Of LGBTQ+ Rights. (2) Organising An Annual Pride Event And Parade, Celebrating The LGBTQ+ Community And Providing A Space For Discussion And Advancement Of LGBTQ+ Rights. Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With [section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (scotland) Act 2005] And [section 2 Of The Charities Act (northern Ireland) 2008].
