Activities

We provide cooking classes with donated food, arts and crafts for the elderly and disabled, help with forms and CV writing, sanitary products, a soup kitchen, light sports, and mental health support groups. We also support infants and families, promote integration, and build inclusive schools and hospitals in developing nations in Africa and Asia for underprivileged and disabled communities.

Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is:to Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Working With People Who Are Socially Excluded On The Grounds Of Their Ethnic Origin, Religion, Belief Or Creed (in Particular, Members Of The African Community) Living In Reading And The Surrounding Area, To Relieve The Needs Of Such People And Assist Them To Integrate Into Society, In Particular By:1. Providing A Local Network Group That Encourages And Enables Members Of The African Community To Participate More Effectively With The Wider Community;2. Increasing, Or Co-Ordinating, Opportunities For Members Of The African Community To Engage With Service Providers, To Enable Those Providers To Adapt Services To Better Meet The Needs Of That Community.
