The Charity Twstees present their first report. We registered to become a Charilable
Incorporated Organisation (CIO) on 2nd October 2024 and is recognised as such by the
Inland Revenue for Tax Purposes. The Charity Commlssh)n Account is 1210304 and
became 'live' on 1 $1 December 2025.

In order to be appolnled, Charty Trustees must:
Be confomiable to scriplural qualrficatlon (1 Timothy 3fv13).
Be in agreement wilh the dodrinal basis and objectives of Holbr¢)oks Evangelical
Church.
Be nominated by the Church Eldership and submitted lor spiritual witness and approval
to the Church Leadership Team and lo th8 Church congregation.
The Charlty Trustees have legal and financial responsibility for the Charty, whilst the
Church Elders have splrttual responsibility for the Church. Additionally, a Leadership
Team provides advice and support in all areas of Ihe Church s life and ministry.
The Trustees have regard to the guldance issued by the Charity Commission on publlc
benefit and confirm that all activities are undertaken for the benefit of Ihe public.
The Charity employs one full-time paid member ot slaff (the Church PastorElder}, two
part-time Cleaners plus one part time Administrator. Volunlegrs trom the Church
congregation, varying from lime to lime as needs arise. work alongside the Pastor to
fulfil the Church's objectives.
Th8 Trusle8s give regular consideralion to major tisks lo which the Charity may be
exposed, Including tinancial. regulalory. and legal. and are satisfied that such risks are
adequately identified, monitored and controlled through ￿liCIes, procedures and
insurance arrangements.

The Church is an aulonomous body following an historical independent Iradition and does
not belong to any denominalional organisation.11 is a local expression of the World-wide
fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ. However, Ihe church is a mefflbgr of the Fellowship
of Evangelical Churches (FIECI, existing to equip, support and care for churches and
ministries.
The main objectives of the Charity are summarised as:
The advancemenl of the Christian faith and the worship of God. The proclamation and
furtherance of the gospel of Chrisl. The preaching and teaching of Ihe Word of Gi)d.
The provlslon of pastoral care. counselling and support.
The education of children and adults on the basis of Chiislian principles.
These objectives are mel in accordance wllh Ihe Charity's conslitiAtK)n and will be fulfilled in
such ways and in such parts ot the Untled Kingdom or elsewhere as lh8 Trustees. Elders
and Leadership from time to time may think fit.

Sunday Morning and Evening seNices with the provision of live streaming for those
unable to attend in person.
Sunday School- This is a weekly ministry for children up to 12yrs old.
Tuesday Aftemoon Fellowship. Due to the start time of 1.45pm this ministries
prlmarily attracts retired folks but all are welcome.
Weekly Prayer Meeting and Bible Study - Open to all.
'Mums 'n' Tots - Thls Is a Week￿ mlnisty for pre-school children and carers.
Foodbank- In conjunction with Coventy Foodbank and Feed The Hungry, we are
one of 15 centres that provide a &ife and welcoming way for Foodbank parcels to be
collected.
Juniors - Thls Is a weekly ministry f¢x children up to 11 yrs old.
Youth - This is a weekly ministry for young people aged between 11 yrs and 18yr8
old.
Coffee Momlng - This a weekty ministry for anyone to attend. A relaxed opportunlty
to make new friends and chat over a hot drink and piece of cake.
We are currently runnlng a 'Chrlsllanity 101, ￿Urse primarlly lor new Chrlstlans or for th08e
wanting lo know more about the doctrines of Ihe Church.
There are no material uncertainlles about the ablllty of Holbrooks Evangelical Church to
continue as a going concem.
We benelit from full ownership of our property and land in Parkgate Road, Holbrooks.
Coventry, which continues to be used for the charity's main purposes. The Charity's funds
have all been applied in accordance with Its charflable objectives.
The principal source of funds is regular giving and on&off donations from members of the
Church congregation. We are registered for Gift Aid, and where appfopriale this is
encouraged to maximise this source ot income.
The Church onty Invests its cash r&8erves in deposrt. s with UK banks. There are Currently
no outstandlng debts.
A remuneration committ88 made up of Twstees and Leadership Team members (including
the Tfeasurerl meet annually to consider the skills. eXperien￿S and competencies needed
frorn our paid staff, so as lo offer fair remuneration within our ability to pay, bearing in rnind
the Charity￿ performance and staffs, performance against expectations, in both the short
and lorvJ term.

Thc Trustees declare that they have approved the Trustees, report above.
The Trustees recognise their responsibility for the preparation of a¢¢ounts for each
financial year to give a true and far view of Ihe Charity's incoming resources and
applicalion of resources during the year and of its state ol affairs at the end of the year,
and for maintaining proper accounting records which dis¢105e with reasonabl¢ accuracy
at any timo tho financial position of the Charity. The trustees have opted to prepare
reccipls and payments accounts as the church is a non-company charity with income
less than £250,000.00
The Trustecs also recogniso thoir rosponsibility in safeguarding the assots ol the Charity
and for taking reasonable steps for the prcvention and detection ol fraud and other
irregularities.
To that end, the Trustces cortify that the t)ooks, vouchers and infonnation produced to
enablo tho indopondent examination of the accounts to be conducted contain a full and
correct record of the financial transactions and activities to the best of knowledge and
beliof.
