## **Achievements and activities for year ending 31/5/25**

The 2024/25 season was a very successful one for the Club on and off the pitch with the following highlights

- Total numbers of Boys and Girls playing for the Club was a record at 642 made up of 556 under 16 and 86 over 16, the Club especially seeing a significant increase in the number of girls registered.

- The Club also had 92 volunteers including coaches, team assistants and admin as well as committee members

- The Essex FA Social Value Report for the season 24/25 suggests that the Club Social Value was £2.2 million.

- A number of our teams had successful seasons on the pitch with a highlight being our Brentwood Girls AFC U15s winning the Essex Girls League and Cup double.

- Surplus from the 2024-25 season, driven by a number of one-off cost factors has put the club in an extremely strong position to meet the dual objectives of investing in the clubhouse project while retaining it’s financial resilience

- Turnover for the Financial period ending 31/5/25 was up from previous year at £148,438 of which the vast majority is from player registrations (£120,406). This reflected the increase in the numbers of players registered to the Club.

- Planning permission was submitted to Brentwood Borough Council for the Larkins Pavilion Project which will provide toilets, changing rooms and a hall to support our boys and girls who currently play on pitches with no facilities on site. It will also help create a new hub for the local community.

- The Pavilion (Clubhouse) reserve fund now stands at £100,000 plus additional Foundation Members fundraising of £10,400.

- Brentwood Youth AFC CIO also received funding from the Football Foundation for both improvement of the quality of the football pitches and purchase of a new set of goals due to expansion of the number of teams at 11 a side.

- The Club continues to run a Wildcats Centre with the support of the Essex FA as a route into football for girls aged 5-11.

- The Club carried forward a reserve fund of £40k of working capital for day-to-day football operations. This sits within the target range of £25k-£50k, reflecting 3-6 months of outgoings, ensuring the financial resilience of the club.

- Our player subscription costs are amongst the lowest in the local area with the Club supporting free places for families experiencing financial hardship.

- The budget for the 2025-26 season broadly breaks even, reflecting the absence of the one-off factors enjoyed last season. The current forecast is consistent with this position.
